The château of Courances

Built around 1550, the castle was transformed in the eighteenth century and characterises the style of Louis XIII. The collection of plates decorating the dining room, the tapestries of the sixteenth century and the library are remarkable. Le Nôtre designed the park, with its numerous ornamental lakes, whose ducts feed 17 springs into one of the few water gardens of the Renaissance. We recommend a visit!
