Surrounding the castle, the enclosed grounds spread their 100 acres estate of grass and woods adjoining the forest of Fontainebleau. There are a few surprises: hidden behind the little house, the romantic spring from Neolithic times, called “source Saint-Sévère” gives birth to the canal ; the statue of Céres to the north, the statue of Saint-Joseph by Fernand Py under the clusters of trees, and the maison d’Artagnan. But the major axis of this formal garden is indeed the great perspective: to the south, with the canal and the path of linden trees, it gives the château de Bourron all its magnificence. The place has been registered on the supplementary inventory since 1926 and classified since 1971 as Historic Monument.
